About Lisa Eden, RD CDN
I have over 20 years of experience as a professional registered dietitian-nutritionist, educating and guiding people through food and lifestyle habit changes to improve their health. I attended Framingham State College in Framingham, MA with a dual major in Food Science and Food & Nutrition, completing my internship in coordination with coursework at various locations in Massachusetts. I started my career at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, MA, working in clinical nutrition as well as cardiac rehabilitation. I developed and taught classes focused on using food choices to help lower cholesterol and blood pressure levels as well as weight management to prevent developing further disease. I also created individualized, specific nutrition plans for clients to assist clients with their health goals.
From there I worked for DaVita Dialysis in various clinics around the North East as part of the care team for those receiving hemo- and peritoneal dialysis to manage their weight, diabetes and electrolyte levels. I also taught classes for those with early stages of kidney failure to show how nutrition is linked to slowing the progression of the disease.
In 2019 I returned to clinical nutrition at Garnet Health in Middletown, NY where I cover a variety of in-patient units and assist with the radiation-oncology clinic.
Over the years, I have been active on running teams, teaching water aerobics and with CrossFit, where I have been able to use my nutrition experience to help many friends and class attendees with their personal nutrition goals.
Assisting with the progress of clients brings me great joy and I am excited partner with Scotchtown Chiropractic and Physical Therapy to meet with clients at the offices there in Middletown, NY as well as with HV Tribe Crossfit of Goshen, NY.
If a client prefers, I will also meet with you in your personal home.
